Treatments
With 22 years of experience working within a variety of clinical areas, we are able to provide a wide range of treatments.
Our main treatments and services are outlined below, but please do contact us with any queries and we can advise whether or not we can help you.

Scar Therapy
With over 20 years working within the area of Burns and Plastics, we can provide scar assessment post surgery or injury and advise and provide suitable treatments and rehabilitation.
Scar management is most effective if commenced as soon as possible post injury or surgery. The aim is always to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient and minimise the impact that traumatic events can have on a patient's life.
We are also able to provide a SKIN CAMOUFLAGE service to help with visible skin differences.

Post Plastic Surgery Treatment
We provide post-op care and rehabilitation following a variety of plastic surgeries. These include reconstruction surgeries post cancer removal, abdominoplasties, breast surgery. Treatment may include pre or post-op support, scar management, oedema management and skin camouflage.

Splinting
We can offer advice, treatment and fitting of a variety of splinting options depending upon the presenting issue.
Splinting can be utilised for supporting joints to promote healing post injury, for joint protection for those struggling with arthritis or RSI, and can enable patients to continue to perform everyday tasks and much loved activities independently. e.g. finding the correct splint or adaptive strapping to enable a pt with chronic OA of the thumb to continue playing golf.

Hand and Upper Limb Therapy
With many years experience working with a range of upper limb injuries and conditions, we can offer treatments at any stage post injury or surgery. These would include detailed assessment, and appropriate treatment to improve range of movement, strength, and overall function, allowing you to re-engage in activities and work tasks that you may have been unable to do.

Pre or post surgery Advice and Treatment
If you have a procedure planned that will change your long term abilities, or may involve recovery time upon your discharge from hospital, we can work with you to prepare and anticipate problems you may encounter post-op. This will ensure that your recovery is optimised, reduce your anxiety levels, and may also mean that you could reduce your hospital stay and return to your home sooner. We can also offer pre-habilitation to ensure you are in peak condition pre-surgery which will aid your recovery.
Examples of surgeries may include joint replacement surgery, cancer surgeries.

Rehabilitation
With extensive experience treating many patients following life changing, complex injuries we can assess and provide treatment programmes to enable clients to reach their maximum potential. The aim is always to regain as many life roles as possible, including returning to work, hobbies and independent functioning.
Our main areas of expertise are Burn injuries, complex trauma, upper limb injuries and amputations.
We can provide a programme of treatment over a necessary course of time to help you rebuild your life roles and occupations, including vocational rehabilitation.

Home Assessment
Home assessment can be helpful to enable people to remain independent and safe in their own homes, and to maintain independent living.
We can help problem solve areas of difficulty and help find solutions to ensure that you can continue to be independent with everyday tasks such as self-care, negotiating around your property, work and leisure pursuits.
We may recommend certain pieces of equipment or adaptations, or modifying tasks.

Care Home Visits
We can visit you or a family member in your Care Home setting for assessment or rehabilitation whether you are a long stay or short term resident.
You may be residing in interim care, or respite but are keen to return home - we may be able to help you make this happen quicker through suggesting small changes or additions to your home environment, setting you up with a rehab programme to enhance your ability, or helping you problem solve your day-to-day needs.
We can also provide therapy in order for you to maintain your current level of function wherever possible, and provide continuing assessment as your needs change over time.
